The social landlord HABITAT HAUTS DE FRANCE is involved in a major renovation program of the Arc-en-Ciel residence it owns in Etaples (62).

The residence is in the heart of a neighbourhood with a weakening animation and where housing is becoming less and less comfortable as it deteriorates. The occupants no longer feel as comfortable as when they first arrived. The neighbourhood is in need of renewal.

We carried out the ecolonomical diagnosis of the residence, led in consultation with the residents: together we are drawing up a complete renovation programme. This programme will reduce energy consumption - for example through better insulation - and is also based on the use of bio-based materials, the creation of a wood-fired heating network, the production of photovoltaic energy and responsible water management (wastewater and rainwater). Outdoor spaces benefit from more biodiversity. Inhabitants are reinvesting in public spaces.
